Sonnet: When Death Stole A Beloved Sibling When Young Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: When Death Stole A Beloved Sibling When Young

Those were the days when heart disease was rife,
And streptococci caused Rheumatic heart;
Though penicillin injection could save life,
Anaphylaxis played a dirty part.

Oh, what a pretty child was Angeline!
True to her name, she was pious, cheerful;
She helped our mom like Martha, truly fine;
God saw her heart and soul were beautiful.

I was too young to know about her more;
She lived her life quite affectionately;
She was so lovely, endearing to core;
Rheumatic heart had ebbed her life gently.

Good Shepherd calls His sheep beloved to Him;
Some earn heaven on earth despite life grim!

Fondly dedicated to our beloved sister,
(late)Angeline Mary Rexina, Old Chungam, Cbe
May the soul RIP in Christ Jesus Lord!
