Sonnet: Where Is God? Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Where Is God?

Rating: 1.0

Is God present only atop the hills?
He’s in the canyons deep and space as well;
He is present in every stone and rills;
In the coal-mines, deep seas, within each cell.

Is God only in places of worship?
To see Him, do we need a special time?
Does he ask entry fee or big-man’s slip?
Nay, God needs nothing, not even a lime!

And Omnipresent’s God since time began;
God is in things we see and cannot see;
See God? Only the pure of heart/ soul can;
The evil minds are blind as blind can be.

Go, discover the God within thy heart;
For, without Him, life on earth can nev’r start.
