Sonnet: You Cannot Know The Mind Of God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: You Cannot Know The Mind Of God

Rating: 5.0

I've known a country dog which lost all hair,
That lived despite its looking very ill,
With painful body sores that you can't bear
To see, and anyone would want to kill.

I've seen a cat that almost died by fall
Into a drum with soap solution hot;
While sleeping, it had one day slipped off a wall,
Escaped by jumping by reflex and lot.

I've heard of hardened criminals living long
In luxury and vices of all kinds;
Who kept on doing crimes and sung their song -
A deaf and blind society never minds.

God saves a beast so many times from death
And spares a criminal sinner right from birth?

Strange are His ways and we often jump to conclusions. He has his own way of doing things which are invisible to our naked eyes. Beautiful poem. my compliments.10
