Soon - Poem by Giovanna Marasco

I have spent too long
In this cage forged by regret
Will I ever leave?

I carry these chains
Forged by bitter memories
Will I ever be free?

And where is the key?
Is it in my heart? My mind?
When will it find me?

Thank you, Sherrie, Archangel of Erucition, Gonzales-kolb. Good to see you grasped the concept.
ps. That's not your real name is it? Because if it is, how long did it take for your parents to agree on it?

This is a winner, Giovanna. The key is in YOU. (Report) Reply

You and me both Giovanna! Why does it take so long I wonder? Thank you for expressing my own caged existence with such splendid haiku style, hopeful as always, with 10 from another fan of haiku, Tai (Report) Reply

It's three Haikus that make up one poem! It's like a super Haiku combo! (Report) Reply
