Soothing Nature for a Poet

Tranquil Times for a Poet

Oh, these rainstorms, far too rare in
my part of California!
All the grapes, here in wine country
and other crops welcome the rains
to flourish.
Our furry buddies, which are many,
seek for this beverage of life, too.
I am glad I live near a great river!
Where I observe them in quiet joy,
having a delightful sip or two.

Our city has a wonderful lake.
It is so awesome in its beauty and
makes my soul in happiness partake.
Beautiful ducks swim in peace.
Children and parents embraced by
lush, verdant trees.
A gift for these poetic eyes to see!

A scene to meditate upon without
diversion.
Just a poetess and her God, having
a personal chat.
In sunny, divine, personal ambiance.
The cool, thick grass, so velvety and
soft, cuddling her soft back.
Knowing God is in charge, and there is
nothing on His earth, to fear or to lack!
