Soothing Voice Of Old Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

Soothing Voice Of Old

Who is singing that song?
Aduku!
No wonder, melody runs thru her veins
Come, my African princess
We need your voice
That voice...
That calls on the gods to bow to the dictates of a common flesh,
That cajoles the angels to sleep, with us, under the thatch of our fore-builders,
And invites the witch in, not for sinister but for love.
Aduku....
Come sing to the ordinary person to take life cool.
Aduku will sing, and all will be well.
