Sorrow Poem by Jon M. Nelson

As I feel the agony fill my veins,
It's impossible to ignore the pains.
The retched fear fills my soul,
As my body is no longer whole.

The tears well up inside my eyes,
As I can't help break down and cry.
The happiness has left my heart,
While my world is falling apart.

I have to suffer as the light fades,
And the pain hits me like 1000 blades.
The broken heart leaves a scar,
And now I know I won't get far.

A fatal blow has been struck,
For now I have run out of luck.
I lay me down until tomorrow,
Only to hope there is no sorrow.
