Sorry Poem by Serena Blackinton

Sorry

Rating: 5.0

You told me when we fell in love
that you were there to stay
Then opened up the door
when I decided to walk away
Somewhere in between
I thought I had gotten it right
You were the sun of my days
and the stars of my night.

Our love seemed invincible:
passionate, crazy, unreal
With you I could do anything,
it was almost surreal
But when I departed
I left the best of me behind
The flame that had once burned so bright
became the ashes of my mind.
