Soul, Dear Soul Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Soul, Dear Soul

Rating: 5.0

Soul, Dear soul
Come on out
Show them the real me
Tired of it all
Withered from
What many feel
Is reality

What is beauty?

When eyes are closed
And dreams are carried
Onward by the fortitude
Of the soul
Traveling through
The far reaches
And everything and all
To something sacred
Personal to the essence
Of one's internal salvation

Eyes could be
Truly used
As wormholes to the soul
Reaching into new destinations
Upon a universal self as a whole

Going beyond
The lies the flesh tells a limited world
To uninhabited regions
Never typical in their growth
Never being called ugly again
Judged for what comes all from within

Soul, Dear soul
If only
I could
Share you from the inside
Wear you on the outside
And from that being known
Rather than being unknown

The sun sets different
When the soul is more aware
Never a dark moment
No matter where one may be
The soul it shines eternally
Flesh has no idea
How much force
There is
When one digs in deep inside
As deep as they could dig deep within

True magic it comes
In the evolution of the soul
As the spirit carries a flame
Upon its most sacred essence
Only to set it afire
Then the explosion comes
And everything builds off of that
In an everlasting quest
From always and forever
Into greater good of beyond

Soul, Dear soul
I am more of you
Than anything else
This flesh is trivial
But does anyone else
Feel like I feel?
This I would like to know
Someway, somehow

Soul, where does it start with us?
