Soul Shattering Kiss Part 2 Poem by C.S. Keskuela

Soul Shattering Kiss Part 2

Now I move on
To put in the past
What never could last

All the love that I felt
Memories - still melt
Me in my dreams
Just fantasy now, no more reality

Now I move on
This time in earnest
Seems this joke’s the cruelest
To have to forget each day with the dawn
As if it never had been

Now I move on
I forgive you, you see
Each day before I get out bed
You got in over your head
Never meant it to be
This of course is a con…

I understand what you want
And I’ll no longer haunt
For it was foolish of me
To hold on this long to your fantasy

Now I move on
I’ll regain my command
My will drives my mind
My mind drives my heart
My heart drives my soul
All to forget
How once we held each other
And that soul shattering kiss…
