South Plains Archivist Poem by Hubert Wilson

South Plains Archivist

Anthropology degree.
Master of Science added to her CV.
Years at the Petroleum Museum.

Knowledgable oil man's Colosseum.
Alma mater then called for her return.
This she could not spurn.
Helping as a reference archivist on the Vietnam War.
Launching subject guides, online exhibits - and more.
Exploring places from Hanoi, to Saigon, to Phenom Penh.
Everything that might have been.
Nakon Phenom to Vientiane.

More place than even Bob Hope had been!
Only person with more war information -
Noted phony war hero with his own counterfeit creation!
Doubtless she could explain to the masses -
The reason I keep losing my glasses!
