Space Travel Isn'T Always The Answer

These tears don't mean anything anymore
I try so hard but they just keep coming back
I don't always do whats best
But i'll learn from my mistakes
I wish you could see that i'm just a human being
You'll grow up someday and realize all i do is try

Baby you've figured me out
I knew it all along and
You knew it wouldn't pay
If every smile you gave me were a glass of water
I'd drown in happiness everyday

Give me a motive
tell me everything
This space isn't wanted
but it's space you say you need
I wasn't trying to hurt you
Lying was never the way out

Baby you've figured me out
I knew it all along
You knew it wouldn't pay
If every smile you gave me were a glass of water
I'd drown in happiness everyday

Running away...
never got us anywhere

It's ok
I'll find another way
but understand
this isn't what i wanted babe,
this isn't what i wanted.

Baby I've figured you out
You knew it all along and
I knew you just wanted to say
If every smile i gave you was a dropp of water
the ocean just wouldn't be the same
