Spain- Ii Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Spain- Ii

I saw Spain in trouble
And felt it sad,
Very sad
For the loss of lives
And the people suffering
Unnecessarily
For the unprepared pandemic.

Coughs, cold and flu
Engaging the space
And taking a toll upon
Affecting the areas,
Marauding the self
Of the Spanish people
So happier and lovelier.

Some prepared for,
Some unprepared,
People fleeing their homes
Ina huff
Or unable to discern,
Ready for what to befall
And the elderly dying.

It happens when misfortune
Knocks at the door,
Bad times come into
And man passes through,
Everything turns bad for
With no options left open.

Madrid and its lanes
Roamed I
As a silent volunteer,
Catalonia,
The Basque Country,
Andalusia,
Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla-Leon.

Saw worsening situation of life
And its times,
Marked the bad times,
The bad days,
How do these come
Into one's life unexpectedly.

Ambulances screeching
With flash bulbs,
The hospital staff dead busy with,
As the patients in numbers
So the coffins coming out,
The worst times ever seen and felt.

Reminding us of plague, cholera,
Small pox, malaria,
Typhoid, polio,
Tetanus claiming over,
Causing deaths,
Untold human fatality, mortality.
