Thing happen
thoughts form
opportunities arise
doors open

These are the things
people see as good
things that give them hope
fill them with confidence

But for me
it works to different
so backward
and I hate it

The first spark of hope
sign of change
and I get depressed
the spark gets smothered

Deep in my mind
a light will come on
signaling hope

In seconds
the rest of my brain has noticed
and decides to take it from me
to kill my confidence
