Sparkling Diamonds Poem by Gautam Sen

Sparkling Diamonds

Age presents a quiet composure-
with time as its base color,
touch of wisdom with exposure
gathering thoughts' flavour.

Passage of time labyrinthine
offering age loaded to our life,
a fulfillment unleashed to shine;
diamond sparkles from strife.

Colorful life absorbing hues
often it's bound to be dark,
reverence if paid to all its dues
an old heart begins to spark.

Pearl of wisdom in soul's oyster,
worth of priceless treasure,
the morrow's need kept in cluster -
source of immense pleasure.

Think of a bird, its melody
is bliss of mind forever;
being oblivious of age proudly
dampens down mood never.

Blues not to mar the aging edge
of our eventful yesteryear,
with a grin-bathed face take a pledge
to live the rest as premier.
