Sparrows A Sonnet Poem by archie langford

Sparrows A Sonnet

Rating: 5.0

Going to the surgery
about me painful knees,
Standing near the car park
Were some bushes and some trees
And in those trees and bushes
to my extreme surprise
Close on a dozen sparrows
Before my very eyes
I hadn`t seen a sparrow
For a decade or so
So was it daft that such a sight
Should give me a warm glow,
I stood and watched them in the trees
And for a while forgot my knees.
