Speaking Stones Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

Speaking Stones

Stones buttress against
invading waters.

Grain-size sandstones float
with current
Large pebbles sit at the bottom.

Both fine-tune the watercourse
like old bones monitor a gait
or a time-burdened face
reflects cane-assisted wisdom.
