To my child of many years, I wish to speak of your history...
I was there when you were born & and was the first to call you son
See, it was during conception when I dubbed you Anointed One
The years have gone by and you seem to forget me
but my love is unconditional & carries no fee
I paid the price a long time ago:
I gave my life to make you whole
I am the same yesterday, today & forever
And, though I have many names,
I long for you to call me Saviour
