~special Your Smile Poem by Ian Rocky

~special Your Smile

Special your smile
Sweet your perfume
You light up my life
When you walk in the room

Long are your legs
Shiny your hair
Soft as Silk
Your lacy underwear

Soft is your touch
Gentle your caress
Perfect the way
Your wear your new dress

Heavy my heart
As I say goodbye
Tears on my cheek
As I start to cry

Smile when I think
Of the good times we had
Laughing and joking
Crazy and mad

To sea I must go
Put my life on the line
I hope it goes fast but
Nine months a long time

Special your smile
Sweet your perfume
To see you again
I wish could be soon

I want to keep you
And hold you forever
Our life to be now and
Always together

Special your smile
Sweet your perfume
You light up my life
When you walk in the room

Time passes slowly
We continue to fight
Ready to post my
Letters I write

Before we get to port
In the night I am woken
Report to the captain
Double time softly spoken

A look of concern
Raises the alarm
The worse thing to happen
For you come to harm

Not believing the voice
At the end of the line
Who tells me your dead
but the baby is fine

a rush of emotions
both happy and sad
Losing my lover
and becoming a dad

rush home to my baby
with kisses I smother
with sadness I know
she’ll never see her own mother

Time passes slowly
And I start to heal
never forgetting our love
And how you made me feel

as she grows up she turns
into a beautiful mother
its uncanny how much
you resemble each other

Special her smile
Sweet her perfume
She lights up my life
When she walks in the room

Long are her legs
Shiny her hair
That girl is a double
Of her mother I swear

So onwards you’ll live
In your daughers grace
In my heart and my soul
And the smile on her face
