Speed Ticket Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Speed Ticket

Speed ticket

In the court, today I
-was happy with what I
-recently decided and acted.

I dropped course of law
- "Paralegal! "

At that time, I thought; now
-am assured, know, confirm
-this job is not for me…

Then, had gone to observe
-to report, write essay…
-once again did the same.
-This time faced my own case,
-corruption, connection, carelessness…

These devils are teammates
-together, united,
-they play the-law-game,
-run the show on stage…

To me courts are the gates
-to heartburns, prisons
-for the weak, meek, oppressed
-are distanced from love, righteousness!

Court clerk who was first
-sat there and recorded…

Looked funny the Judge who
-held small magnifier
- (like navy commanders)
-then issued the orders
-after rep, (prosecutor)
-approved; as government!

The whole thing is ugly
-it cannot amuse me
-except for notetaking
-then sitting and writing!
