In Trumptime,
that is, in Straight-Spell Hell,
it's becoming 'Malcome' not 'Malcolm'.
You subtract 'l' number 2 and add 'e'.
In Straight-Spell Hell,
as you say,
you'll eventually have to spell.

I think Trumptime spelt it Malcom but it would only be a short time before they adjusted it to Malcome to go with 'welcome' (still, there's 'talcum') . Malcolm Turnbull, PM of Australia.
