The night was clear the stars so bright
The Moonbeams were large, my spirit so bright
My being felt a love so deep
My life began to unfold from sleep

The tears of joy running down my face
Was from the God who gave me grace
What is this thing that feels me with glee
The Fathers hand that touches me

I ask my God what is this thing
That made my heart began to spring
He said to me in a voice so sweet
My love for you is felt so deep

I ask my God what am I to do
He said to me, be strong and true
My spirit felt a love so kind
I ask my spirit why man is so blind
