Splash Poem by nisha dyrene

Splash

Words
Hard, cold and cruel
Hurled by Carelessness
Child of yesterday’s anger
Splash, splash
Into the pool they fall
Making froggy puddles
And fairy bubbles
On the surface

Splash
The water falls back
Into itself, and I fall
Folding into myself
Quietly

Tomorrow
All is forgotten
Or so it seems
Something heavy
Somewhere deep
Weighs me down
Pulls me under

A silent tear
A liquid sigh
Falls from my eye
Splash
