Splash - Poem by nisha dyrene

Hard, cold and cruel
Hurled by Carelessness
Child of yesterday’s anger
Splash, splash
Into the pool they fall
Making froggy puddles
And fairy bubbles
On the surface

The water falls back
Into itself, and I fall
Folding into myself

All is forgotten
Or so it seems
Something heavy
Somewhere deep
Weighs me down
Pulls me under

A silent tear
A liquid sigh
Falls from my eye
