Spousal Grumbles Poem by Frank Adie

Spousal Grumbles

Cursed be the day I said 'I do',
To this monster I thought I loved.
What sin did I ever commit?
That life should punish me with such a man?

I can't imagine I left my Chris,
For this good for nothing man.
If I could turn the hand of the clock,
I would spit back his proposal at him.

How can I continue staying in this marriage?
To endure the snore of a man I hate
No woman loves to be a divorcee,
But evil men do force our hands.

Who bewitched me to marry this woman?
Yuck, I wish I never met her,
How could I have left my Tina?
For this witch I call a wife.

We thought we were madly in love
And never knew we were blinded by lust
Now that we have emptied the cup of lust
There is nothing on which to build marriage.

Oh my Tina! My lovely Tina.
I wish…! I wish…! ! I Wish…! ! !
Oh my Chris! My sweet and caring Chris,
Had I known…! Had I known…! ! Had I known…! ! !
