Spreading Heat Poem by elenore elizabeth

Spreading Heat

what am i but just a match? lighting your secret stash.
my flame is bright; blocking and illuminating your sight
i give you what you want what you need, and yet still you blow me out with such speed
my heat you see, its spreads quickly
you pull me out of my case and ignite me; pulling me close to your face

i can dance you see, my light bounces of things free
the air sweeps me up to send me ablaze
i can keep you company i can keep you amazed
i am the suns creation as i am the moons; but i can be yours soon

you give me the spark i need; but i die out with great speed.
what am i but just a match? lighting your secret stash
i come second best you see, i give u what u need to ignite you free
its my allure you see, my flame, my heat, and thats what draws you to me
its my heat you see, that dies ever so quickly
