Spring Poem by Margaret Beil

Spring

Rating: 3.5

</>Oh, the spring
What life you bring
Birds are buzzing about
Magnificent flowers to behold
Hopefully rainfall
Last summer there was drought.
I sit here peacefully and watch
The blossoms bloom from a downstairs room
Buds on branches that were bare and barren
Now push out new life
What a proud new mother tree
Mother Nature seems to be
Until Autumn
When the children come of age
Don't be frightened little leaf
Do not flutter in your grief
For though you must go
You should know it's for your siblings
And in the end
When you think your gone
One hundred years from now
You will be that mother strong
And help your children carry on.
