Spring Has Come Again Poem by Shalom Freedman

Spring Has Come Again

Rating: 4.5

SPRING HAS COME AGAIN

Spring has come again
The pleasant warmth
That still remembers the winter,
The Brightness and the Blossoms
Light and more Light-

And with it
A long restlessness revives
An urge to journey
To do something different-

The work stalls
How long can a person
Sit inside?

Something must be done
Some new world
Must be entered into-

But meantime
For this day only
I stand outside
Pen in hand
And write these lines
As if this were
the single remaining
My only possible
Adventure.
