Spring I Greet You With Much Elan Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Spring I Greet You With Much Elan

February is heading towards March
And now can perceive the footsteps of spring
Awaiting at my threshold
Wish I could behold
These moments and await for the bell ring
When? I know not
How? I await my lot
All alone the days seem gloomy
I perceive the call of silence so groovy
The cuckoos are yet to pour their hearts out
The seedlings are yet to sprout
To spread vegetation all over
The color green under the blue cover
Looks gorgeous and lull me to sleep
Not exactly a slumber but focusing my eyes on the blue deep
It is meditation you can say
For me it is to keep worries at bay
And prefer to be gay
Like the teenagers engrossed in their dreams hardly ever pay
Of what may happen in future
They are happy in present to reach a beautiful land afar
This is spring
The can hear the invisible bell ring
To assure me pleasant moments among the grotesque
When I muse at the grand canvas so picturesque
Blooming dales, fragrance lull me to sleep
I take a deep breathe
And enjoy the fruit juice as I sip
Gradually to feel the blues with a cheer
Life is for a short while
So why I fear
God! I want to smile.
