Spring In The Air Poem by Linda May Fox

Spring In The Air

There's a warmth in the air
And a brightness that's lifting away from care,
A sense of lightness, floating through a journey of peace,
Buds awaken, slowly, quietly, nourished by sunshine, glinting through many trees.

Mud pools, shaping the ground beneath,
Merging into rough tracks, guiding a better way to see,
All around and way ahead, a bright tune
Distracting from the winters gloom, as the dawn of spring comes into bloom.

Burdens, gone as the sun makes known its face
Shining a freedom from an azure sky, as it touches many a place
Lighting the way for a new journey
Whilst a ray of light touches, and lets it be.

And the full growth of summer beckons us on
T'ill all the heavy load is gone!
