Stage Fright Poem by Helen Crutchett

Stage Fright

I, too, am a player in this strange play of life
On a stage too big for my comfort.
A sea of faces making up the audience.
Some have left their mark as they played their
Part so well.
Grand players all
Some have been so forgettable I have pushed
Them into the alcove of my mind and lost
Them forever into oblivion.
Some I am forced to remember from time to time
As one cannot forget their role played to perfection
With such a dramatic effect as to leave me
Lost for words and frozen with
Stage fright ~
