Stagnant In A Pool Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Stagnant In A Pool

All I can say is 'am stagnant like the waters in a pool
I have stopped to dream
May be contended with what I get
I have forgotten to fume or fret
Coz then i would make up to be a fool
My age flows like the rippling waters of a stream

But once Rimni was a dreamer
Bold, courageous who took her own decisions
She knew no definition of frustration
Rather believed life is an altime celebration
Dream and achieve
Believe and receive

Years pass
I could not keep the promise made to myself
Now I delve
Down into me
Try to see
What went wrong
I stopped singing my song
To achieve my dreams
Difficult it seems
I therefore exists
The more I resists
My me to come out of the doldrums
But if I were to live and keep my promise
I must dream
