Stand So Strong Poem by Michelle Guza

Stand So Strong

Nothing in her way for she wants him so
When no hope is left she won’t let go
When their love is folding and ever so weak
She stands so strong for he is what she seeks
The pain is fierce and the love is numbing
Back and forth inside my head with all the humming
She has to stand so strong even when if feels so wrong
Every word-every moment cuts her up on the inside
Every memory-every thought will forever collide
It’s like nothing is real; nothing exists
Before her eyes every moment from the first time they kissed
They say “you will always and forever be all mine”
How could everything from here decline?
You always held her tight as she stared off into space
She always told me how you wiped the tears gently off her face
Why are you pushing her away when she wants to stand strong?
She has loved you forever long
Why do you hurt her and make her want to scream
You’re her perfect guy in her favorite dream
Why do you want to leave and walk away?
She has to stand so strong and pray that you don’t stray…
