Standing In The Rain - Poem by Brittany Marsh

You left me there
Standing in the rain
To cope with is all
My anger frustration and pain
Why you did it
I did not ask
I acted as though it was ok
Just put on my bad ass mask
But it really hurt
Tore me up inside
You said you were for real
But you really lied
Maybe it's my fault
I should have known
When you said you'd be home
But never answered the phone
I don't wanna be played
I don't wanna be dissed
I'd rather be hugged
I'd rather be kissed
But i am strong
The pain will end
It'll just take a while
For my hert to mend.
