Standing In The Sun Poem by Cash Onadele

Standing In The Sun

Imagine looking into the blue sky, standing in the midday Sun,
There are no shadows, nothing to hide or hide from.
A loud voice in the midst of that heaven, shrouds you.
Many brides cannot walk up the aisle with their true story told.
All fowls that fly, all creature that creep, you can see,
Come gather themselves together, to worship your glory.
You appear incorruptible, highly placed and trusted,
Robed in elegant garment, just as we have imagined.
You are like a new day born by the Most High
Dewed into existence by the morning watchers.
Enveloped by the canopy crowns of tall mangrove brown-barks.
Dowsed in scented fragrance, the nectar gland of sweet herbaceous.
Kings and beasts make war, yet against you,
But they are chained in the dungeon a thousand years.
Enjoy your savior’s shield, adversities cannot overtake,
Mama, for you are chosen to stand in this Sun!
