I recollect you standing on my grave
calling
no, shouting, trying to convince me
I was not dead
but I didn't believe you
and we ran between stars
jumping off aphorisms
onto mountains from peak to peak
striding like feathered giants
over oceans, spiralling, eulogizing
where coastlines couldn't contain us
things felt lighter now -
did you notice
there were no shadows anymore?
you said I was not dead
and I didn't believe you
and while your grave
looked nicer than mine
you did that laugh you always did
during times like these
