Stare Of Hope Poem by Jacqueline Dougherty

Stare Of Hope

A look of longing
a cry for attention
a stare of hope.
She wants him to see,
see her as she sees him,
desire her as she desires him.
He doesn't notice her glancing,
and painfully she gives up.
Empty hellos and silent sonversation,
only she knows of her love.
One day she will tell him
that she desires his affection.
Not only affection but intent attention
placed in only her direction.
She'll love him with passion,
and he'll love her too.
But for now she stares.......
intently trying to manage......
to sum up the love powered strength
to tell him.
But instead she looks with longing,
crying heavily for attention,
but always staring in hopes of someday....
