Starlight Poem by Samantha Campbell

Starlight

Night
slinks
softly

Creeping

I sit
by the
fire

Lingering

Bella Luna
sweet orb
hiding her beauty

Dark

Star lights
blossom heavenward
I watch in awe

Entranced

Constellations
burning
amidst
spinning
universes
in my eyes

Reflected

Remembrances past
together with you
love in my heart

Illuminated

When we met
at least for me
conjunction

Tragedies unfold
with night's panoply

Myths of love
sacrificed
echo within
my devastated soul
alone with thoughts

Wordless

Endless abyss
stretching before me
forever bound

Terrestrial

Mortal chains
imprison my soul
keeping me
prisoner

Burning heavens
whirling above me
taunt me cruelly

Exiled

Forever lost
paradise denied me
existence continues

Meaningless

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
just something that came to me while looking at the sky as I often do
a lot of my work is inspired by space
