Starry Night Poem by Cee Bea

Starry Night

Upon a Starry night
where dreams become transposed
we chase the thoughts that linger
waiting to be known

we open on a snowy night
the wind it whips and moans
within in the wind lay secrets
waiting to be shown

A Home that seems now far away,
that once a child knew
A house that if we look close
is where this child grew

Her family.. that we will see
now separate, spaced by miles
lay in the heart of one still young
as
her heart remains a child

The world it seems to be a stage,
behind a vision past
where shadows of a simpler time
have now grown old so fast

I see a day, soon to be near
where she will travel back
to color in once lost memories
that since are faded black

So often it is that we chase the past
or once forgotten time
to regain what we have felt we lost
our innocence refined

I see this girl, her quest to find
the days that have long past
she need only seek her Childs eyes
to color shadows cast

For its in the eyes oft of our own
that we once more find a child
our hopes again our hearts will fill
in dreams we have compiled

So before I go,
I leave one thought
A thought I hope inspires
seek the dreams in your Childs eyes
for they remain still mild
