Stars Poem by Alice Kwan

Stars

One night i wish to stare
into the holder of the stars.

The holder of the moon
I wish to break balance

And fly into dreams while i am awake.
To lay on damp grass

And feel the cool breeze polish my face
To be in slience where only stars are heard

Whispering to me to join them
Of course i will, flying among them

As people make wishes on me,
To light up the looming darkness

The moon, my friend
I will fly over water

Watching my reflection as i zoom by
A light that has escaped the gray reality

I knew i wanted to shine
Shine like a star

Then a sparkle reflects in my eye
It is time to make a wish.
