Stars Poem by Dr John Celes

Stars

Behold the myriad stars that stud the skies,
And decorate the firmament God-made,
Their position unknown to men though wise!
By light of dawn with sun-rise, all stars fade.

But why the countless stars and galaxies?
No human mind discerns God’s purpose well;
The universe appears to never cease;
Light-years afar, each star is so well kept.

Their origin is unfathomable;
No ‘Big-bang’ can ever explain their birth;
The human mind is insignificant;
Oh, what an awesome God created man!

Their beauty is so unimaginable;
God calls each star by sweet a name each time;
In turn, they listen to His call and act;
But man alone rebels against His God.

Perhaps the freedom God gave, makes him so;
Man’s sinfulness comes from the Evil One;
God loves the human soul and made heaven;
To walk the narrow road, man must persist.
