State Of Unrest Poem by Bill Bright

State Of Unrest

It has taken a while to understand what might be space
To feel for others with an honest and continuous grace
But where the cracks have now started to appear
Is in the uncertainty of future, being hazy and unclear
All I want is to be pure, unconditioned and true
Yet with impending old age and worries this makes me feel blue
It is not a fear of life that will suffice within my soul
Or cares that my vessel will degrade in a hole
But it is a need for others to be integral and fascinating
Not roaming the streets, criticising, assassinating
The world is dynamic, accommodating but fragile
So stop the hatred and make love full and agile
I look forward to places where my pegs will wander
And I know its enthusiasm I must not squander
