Statues Poem by Rose Marie Cook

Statues

Rating: 3.5

Frozen solid
Can't move
Stuck in this prison

Emotionless
Their souls scream out
Their eyes have a story to tell

People pass by
Without glacing their way
Without recognizing

Others stare in amazement
but do nothing
Created by loving hands

Put on display
At everyones mercy
Hard as stone

Frozen in time
No one thinks to see the story
Behind those sad eyes
