Stay Poem by Mark Trajano

Stay

I remember the moment’s grains like yesterday
Feeling like I just heard what you had to say
Ever so sweetly in my ear making my heart stay.
Blessed to be a part of what seemed to be a dream
From the skies to the trees, to the peaceful stream,
You send me your love like moonlight’s gentlest soothing beam.

Eight moons have traversed the vast wonderful ocean
And together we go about this motion
Though tough, testful, and terrifying devotion.
I collect myself like pieces of ceramic
To hold you and not remain very static,
And save what we are as we avoid the dramatic.

Relentless ocean waves hitting the boat’s body,
Sending us flying and sinking – we’re groggy
But not to the worst point of us being nobody.
I want to let you know how much this means to me,
How valuable you are and what I see,
Let me be the girl ‘til forever you call “baby”.

I love you and this is all I know what to do
No matter how much wrong I have done too,
My love for you is written in my heart- this is true.
Leaves telling time has lost track for I miss you so,
I love you and to where you are I shall row
Treading against all odds so you shall truly know.
