Her Love For Me Poem by Mark Trajano

Her Love For Me

Rating: 5.0

Held by the hands of fright,
choking the lamp with blight.
Burning so brightly, once, it did,
now struggling; abiding death’s bid.
Faded from safe sanctuary, flame bled cries.
Seeing forced flicker, she would kiss me lies.

Embraced warmth tonight with deathly poisons,
No amount of these will do: confessions.
Loving the torment brought by her;
her acts deliver such torture.
Desiring alternates;
debating senates.

Shifting reality,
survived anxiety;
the love I have known is shattered,
the strength I have, to go, faltered.
Seeing forced flickering she kissed me lies.
Embracing warmth tonight with deathly cries.
