Step Poem by Amanda Eckols

Step

Rating: 5.0

Every day I take a chance
A step not always in the right direction
A hopeful leap into the vast darkness
Despite of fate despite of past failures
I jump and I dance in celebration
For once again I find
I have missed the moon completely
And fell in front of self proclaimed stars
Though their laugher is sharp as daggers
I find it joyful to join in as I pick myself up
And try once again.
