Still Poem by The Poet Darkling

Still

Still hearing lots of excuses
Of why you still cannot be here
Feel hopeless, still I can't give up
Still sitting alone in my chair

Prepared our home so carefully
Made such a lovely lover's lair
Yet, still I lie alone in bed
And still your pillow lies there, bare

Given you every allowance
But I'm still here and you're still there
Given you every inch you've asked
still giving you little to bear

Still, I don't know what else to do
As from my chest, my heart you tear
Still feeling pain, still can't let go
This Hell I'm in is still unfair

Done all I could to show my love
Proved a thousand times I still care
I've watched my temper, bit my tongue
Still here alone, pulling my hair

Still look for comfort in your arms
My eyes seek yours, but find a glare
Still don't know what I'm ‘sposed to think
Still I‘m waiting, still you just stare
