Still A Man Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Still A Man

I may not be the biggest football fan,
But that doesn't make me any less of a man.
I don't sit in a deer stand waiting for the kill,
There has to be a better way to find a thrill.

I don't hold a fishing pole over a lake all day,
Looking for excitement there must be a better way.
I don't get in fights to prove how tough I am,
And I'm not afraid to say sir, and yes ma'am.

I serve my country but I'm not a violent man,
I spend as much time with my family as I can.
I'm no less of a man for showing love to my wife,
I'm still a man even if it doesn't seem a manly life.
