Still Sinking Poem by The Poet Darkling

Still Sinking

Sinking in the darkness still
Time all but abandons me
Giving up, I lose my will
Lock the door, swallow the key

Falling faster to my doom
Look for you but you're not there
Thought I left you in my room
Sitting there, twirling your hair

Drifting further into this
Quickly lose my will to you
Leave me wanting for your kiss
Leave me kneeling in the pew

Distracting me with your lies
You've stolen my fate from me
Leering at me with those eyes
Clouding my reality

Drifting, falling, still sinking
Victim of your morose dreams
Crying, dying, not thinking
Drowning in a pit of screams
