The girl in the corner, that's who she is
She's plain on the outside but under her skin
She's freefalling mute in her lonely abyss
She struggles to hide the oppesssion within

She's too shy to deserve lots of popular friends
Who are wealthy and thriving in their pampered bliss
And she's drowning alone n her own deep end
They see what they want to and not who she is

The one that she loves loves her on the outside
She's quiet and deep and she doesn't know fear
Yet she knows she's alone and she's so terrified
She's screaming for him but he still doesn't hear

They found her one day in a dark crimson pool
And they never knew her but on TV they weep
Her hidden dual life became pressing and cruel
And now she has shown them still waters run deep
