Stolen Common Wealth Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Stolen Common Wealth

In the pot belly of the politician
Is the state's resources buried
While the common man scavenge
The refuse dumps for a living.

On the day of laxation
He will purge the stolen wealth
And in reproach will he suffer
To die a pauper of his conscience.
